So God Made an Alex

And on the 8th day, God looked down on ELM and said, “I need a caretaker.” So God made an Alex.

ELM associate producer Alex Glass joined our team in 2015, fresh-faced out of college with a journalism degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he met Darren Durlach, who was teaching a class on visual storytelling. During his first year at ELM, which was a time of rapid growth for us, he quickly became our team motivator. He sent us emails like this every day to cheer us on as we worked around the clock to grow our client base, create awesome work and keep our sanity:

Dearest ELMers,

What a productive Wednesday. Not only is the office now complete with ergonomic chairs, filing cabinets, desk lamps, fake trees, a horse mask, some yellow chairs, a red couch, and a topless table (the best kind) but drafts were completed, plans were made, and Dave told us about his fish.

Personally, I am pumped to knock out more A (plus) roll tomorrow as you all kick some video ass with our nation’s heroes.

Let’s greet tomorrow with a (jacked) Arnold Schwarzenegger kinda attitude – “let’s get it guys”.

-Glass
P.S. Go Terps

Alex has always been ready to jump in when needed. Helping us out with research, shooting, editing, revising (and revising again), and never complaining about the workload that comes along with growing a creative business.

As a spoof on the popular Super Bowl commercial “So God Made a Farmer,” we created this ode to Alex. We hope you enjoy it. Go Terps.
